BOS MEETING MINUTES 12/01/2008



                                                December 1, 2008



The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was called to order by Chairman Goodnow with all members in attendance.

Public Hearing (continued) – application of Bourvorn Davong d/b/a Vohn Restaurant for a Common Victualler License, 52 Pulaski Blvd.
Ms. Davong stated she would like to open a restaurant to serve Vietnamese and Thai food with her hours of operation being 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., seven days a week.
She stated she will be taking over the store where Krakow Deli was located.
Mr. Goodnow asked if there was anyone present in favor or in opposition to this application.  No one responded.
On a Mayhew/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to close the public hearing.  
On a Mayhew/Martinelli motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the application of Bourvorn Davong d/b/a Vohn Restaurant for a Common Victualler License, 52 Pulaski Blvd. with hours as stated.

On a Mayhew/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the minutes of November 17th as submitted.

On a Mayhew/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the license renewals presented this evening with the exception of Grumpy’s Restaurant and the V.F.W.

Mr. Mayhew left the meeting.
On a Chaves/Martinelli motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the renewal of licenses for Grumpy’s Restaurant.
Mr. Mayhew returned to the meeting.

Mrs. Chaves left the meeting.
On a Martinelli/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the renewal of licenses for the V.F.W.
Mrs. Chaves returned to the meeting.

On a Chaves/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve trash abatements in the amount of $624.00.

On a Martinelli/Mayhew motion, the Board unanimously voted to ask Steve Bevilacqua to attend the next Selectmen’s Meeting to thank him for his work on the skate board park & the new playground.

On a Mayhew/Martinelli motion, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM.
